I would never consider attaching awning to brick veneer. Also when using screws it s imperative that you use countersinks for the screws. Obviously i have to go all the way through the awning but how far into the brick should i go if i am going to use a sleeve anchor. Using a stud finder locate the full left to right width of the header and axial studs.
