Its like the child lock wont come off but i can hear the lock doing something.

Hi guys this is my 1st audi a4.
I have the following fault code address 46.
Door not unlocking diagnostic audiworld.
This article applies to the audi a3 a4 b7 b8 a6 c5 c6 q5 and q7.
This may happen if there was recent work that was done on the rear lid.
Then with you palm wack the inside end of the door this sometimes releases it and connects with the handle.
Once it s opened once from inside it will open from the outside ok.
Motors lift the hatch fine and will close fine.

Open door from inside by either leaning over or pressing and holding unlock button to wind down the window and reach in.
Engine running or ignition on battery charged all components of the rear lid are functional and in good condition.
When hatch button on driver s door is pressed when unlock button on key fob is pressed or when handle on rear hatch is pressed the door will not open.
The reset procedure is as follows.
All doors lock fine with central locking but the rear left door won t open unless you open it from inside the car.
I too was trying to justify it with the crazy mugger scenario but like you said you could just drive away or said crazy mugger could manually open the door provided he also has in depth knowledge of the audi q7.
I have one issue and that is when i press the button on drivers door to unlock all doors from inside the car there is still the rear passenger door behind the driver doesnt unlock.
Imagine needing gas in your audi but your fuel door won t open.
